| Observe here below the microscope images with and without crossed polarizers
of the tentative foraminifer in Yax 307. (just move the cursor on and
off the images) The so-called "testwall" of the foram is isotropic, demonstrating it is composed of the mounting epoxy. It is not altered cell-wall material. |
